    Laura Waters Hinson

    Laura Waters Hinson

    Laura Waters Hinson is an award-winning filmmaker and assistant professor in the Film and Media Arts Division of the School of Communication at American University. Laura’s films focus on personal journeys, exploring themes of reconciliation, human resilience and entrepreneurship. Her first feature documentary, As We Forgive, won the Student Academy Award for Best Documentary, the Cinema for Peace Award in Berlin and was broadcast nationally.

    Laura’s films have been screened at the US Congress, the United Nations, the Smithsonian National Gallery of Art and at dozens of international film festivals such as the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and the Seattle Human Rights Film Festival, among many others.

    Nick Reid

    Nick Reid

    Nick Reid is a member of the Producers Guild of America and the Moving Picture Institute (MPI). His executive producer credits include recognition by prestigious film festivals such as Tribeca Film Festival, South by Southwest Film & TV Festival and more. Nick is a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University and holds a certificate in management from Georgetown University. Prior to joining MPI, Nick was the executive vice president of a nonprofit organization where he oversaw development operations and student leadership development programs.
