FILM SYNOPSIS

Filmed at Dungeons and Sunset Reef, two of Cape Town, South Africa’s world-famous surf breaks, the documentary follows a group of close-knit big-wave surfers who are passionate about riding the giant swells. From surfing pioneers to today’s increasingly daring big-wave athletes, the film delves into their motivations for charging monstrous waves and examines how the sport has drawn enthusiasts and spectators from around the globe, fostering a vibrant culture in Cape Town.
