FILM SYNOPSIS

In a region famed for local young athletes becoming NBA stars, Prince George’s County on the eastern end of Washington, DC, is also a place where mentorship changes lives. Programs like the public middle school basketball league are more than just a game, they’re a pipeline to greater possibilities in life. In Comeback Kids, Coach Jay Spinks leads the Thomas G. Pullen middle school basketball team on a historic endeavor to defend their county championship through discipline and community support. The story of the young athletes is one of hope and the power of sports to bring about social transformation.
