One of the most meaningful to me is that I can love myself,” says Joan. “I don’t have a bunch of questions or, you know, I’m not wondering about life and the meaning of life. It helps me to open up. It’s like I don’t have the mind noise that used to really get in my way. Now I’m not upset in life. When I want to reach out, I can, without barriers.”
