In Easy Like Water, as rivers rise and overtake villages in Bangladesh, the fight for survival in the face of climate change gives rise to a visionary architect. His innovations include building floating schools with solar-powered internet access to reach kids in otherwise inaccessible areas. Glenn Baker
Glenn Baker is a filmmaker with more than 30 documentaries broadcast on PBS. He produced and directed Stand Up: Muslim American Comics Come of Age for the PBS series America at a Crossroads. His productions have received more than a dozen national awards.
SINOPSIS DE LA PELÍCULA
Bangladesh is considered ground zero for the devastating effects of climate change. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the flooded rural villages where architect Mohammed Rezwan is tirelessly working to provide a future for the families who can rightly be called the first victims of climate disruption. Rezwan’s innovative solutions have led to the creation of boat schools—boats equipped with solar-powered internet—in order to bring the schools to children who would otherwise have no access to an education.

Known as “Bangladesh’s Noah,” Rezwan’s goal is to expand his model to include floating clinics, shelters and cinemas. But one of his greatest challenges lies in securing the funding necessary to implement his vision to ensure the survival of his people.
Easy Like Water is a revealing look into the power of one man’s ingenuity in the face of the greatest threat to the modern world.
