A story of camaraderie between 10 amateur cyclists competing in a grueling race around Iceland.
Sisu is a feature documentary combining elements of a travelogue and endurance sports competition that ultimately become an exploration of the motivations amateur athletes experience in their pursuit of extreme adventures. “Sisu” refers to the quality of character that helps individuals push through preconceived boundaries of their mental and physical capabilities. The immeasurable power of camaraderie to inspire an individual beyond what they thought possible unfolds as the 10 amateur cyclists compete. What comes is endurance of extreme weather and road conditions and a test of the bounds of physical fitness and mental fortitude in pursuit of achieving their goal.
